Set Margins in Word

When creating a new document or editing an existing document, you may wish to change the margins on the left/right and top/bottom of the page. There are a variety of ways to do this, but there is a particularly simple way you may not know about.

While you have the desired document open in Microsoft Word, locate the rulers at the top and left of the document. [Tip: If you can't see the ruler, you may have the option turned off under View.] Simply double-click on the left or top ruler.

That will open the Page Setup menu where you can your margins as well as other settings having to do with the way your page will print.
